蜜桃导航

Trinity host Robin Sharwood Lecture series

蜜桃导航 grounds on a beautiful sunny day
2018-05-01
Hon Keith Mason, AC QC, President of the Appellate Tribunal of the Anglican Church of Australia delivered both lectures that addressed clergy status and how the church has dealt with misconduct. It also examined how the canon law approach has interacted with civil law processes, in the past and today.

The lecture series is named in honour of Dr Robin Sharwood, the fourth Warden of 蜜桃导航, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 83.

In his will, Dr Sharwood bequeathed a share of his estate to 蜜桃导航 to establish and finance what he called The Sharwood Lectureship in Ecclesiastical Law.

Both events were attended by both legal experts and clergy, with large audiences at both lectures.

Scott Charles, Director of Advancement at 蜜桃导航, and the Revd Canon Professor Dorothy Lee, Frank Woods Research Professor in New Testament both attended on behalf of the College in Sydney.

Former Warden of 蜜桃导航 and current Warden of St Paul鈥檚 Sydney, Dr Don Markwell, was on hand to introduce the Hon Keith Mason at St James' Church.

鈥淗e weaved in some lovely parallels between the speaker, Hon Keith Mason and Dr Robin Sharwood, who was the fourth Warden of 蜜桃导航,鈥 said Mr Charles.

鈥淩obin would have been profoundly honoured and quietly delighted to see a lecture on this important subject given in his honour by this exceptional lecturer [Hon Keith Mason], hosted by Trinity and St James鈥 - and he would have welcomed also the link with St Paul鈥檚 College, with its long and close ties both with St James鈥 and with Trinity,鈥 said Dr Markwell.
